The decisions of the administration of RUSD may be questionable at times, but at least they do not require blind students to take Driver’s Ed! Passing a driver education course is a requirement for graduation in Chicago’s public schools, and although parents of blind students can request a variance in their children’s schedules, this is a little known option and is rarely used.
